Monday, Making Chicken Soup

10/24/2016

      Hello good people,
Well another Monday has reared it's ugly head as I enter into my third day of battle with the dreaded common cold!!!!! Arughhhh!!!! Elise can attest to the fact that I am not the most pleasant person to be around when I am under the weather but the good news is that the Emergen-C I have been guzzling daily seems to actually work.  I am hoping this thing will run it's course by Thursday so I can get back to vocal rehearsals. Until then, I am focusing on guitar skills, doing some writing and making a huge vat of CHICKEN SOUP from scratch.
CHICKEN SOUP is truly universal. Regardless of ethnicity, culture, social status, country of origin, possibly with the exception of hard-core Vegans, everyone has a version of chicken soup. Whether you are Irish, Jewish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Polish, or Portuguese, it doesn't matter; the healing powers of chicken soup do not discriminate. Recipes may vary from kitchen to kitchen, stove top to crock pot, but when you boil it down to it's true essence, it's CHICKEN SOUP. Noodles or rice, carrots or kale, thick or thin, when it comes down to battling the common cold, the healing powers of CHICKEN SOUP cannot be and should not be denied. It's one of the good things we all have in common, and unlike the Common Cold, it's okay to share.
                                                                                                                     Safe travels,
                                                                                                                     Hugh
